Hackers from all over the world have turned their attention to Syria. One of the targeted websites is the one of the Syrian Industrial Bank (industrialbank.gov.sy), defaced by a hacker calling himself AnonHeart404.
“Sorry admin but your page was taked by us. Because from Latin America, we are sad seeing destroyed between brother countries (sic),” the hacker wrote on the defaced page.
“Please governments. Stop kill innocent people. Stop hating your brother. Stop [expletive] this world with your stupid wars. We need Love in this planet. We are anonymous, and we want PEACE in this world,” he added.
A few days ago, the Internet in Syria suffered a major blackout. Officials blamed terrorist attacks, but experts (and Anonymous) determined that it was most likely the work of the government.
As a result, hacktivists from all over the world started attacking Syrian websites.
